This is a very neighbourly area, everyone knows everyone and are extremely friendly. The shops, cafes, supermarkets & railway station for Hove are all very close by, as is the gym, a hot yoga centre & a whole-food store. Brighton is an easy 15 minute walk. Hove lawns & the beach are literally 5 minutes away. The stunning South Downs national park, with all it`s country pubs, walking trails & outdoor activities is about 20 minutes away.
the parking on the road can be limited but there are numerous pay & display bays. It costs just over £5 for 11 hours parking (restrictions are lifted between 8pm-9am). There is a machine on the road which takes cash or card, or the easiest way to do it is via the Brighton and Hove Council parking app which is called ‘PayByPhone Parking`. On here you can enter how many hours you would like and pay with your card on the app. It is very easy to use, you just need to put in the location code which will be clearly stated on the signposts of the bay you park in. You can also allow notifications to pop up which will alert you to when your parking is going to expire. You can also by numerous days at once, which is useful if you know you are not going to move your car for a couple of days.
If you are travelling by train, the closest station is Hove Station, this is less than a 10 minute walk down to the property. If you are arriving at Brighton Station, it will take you around 20 minutes on the bus, or around 10-15 minutes in a taxi depending on the time of day.
