Brighton marathon
Brighton marathon weekend is a 10k run the time it will start is 9.45am.
The Withdean stadium start is invited for faster athletes only- the mass start is still at Preston Park.
The Brighton marathon is a 3 day running event in one of Britain’s most cosmopolitan cities, includes the cancer research uk kids and teens mini mile races on Saturday, the BM 10k and Brighton marathon races on the Sunday and event village which is on the Friday – Sunday
This event is something for the whole family with something for all ages and disabilities.
The Brighton marathon was founded by former international athlete Tim hutching’s and by former Brighton club athlete, tom Naylor. This event is organised by the grounded events company ltd.
Since it first took off in 201 there has been dramatic changes like becoming the Brighton marathon weekend. the course bests for men and women are well under 2 hours 10 minutes and 2:29, making it the second fastest marathon in the UK. It is also the second largest marathon in the UK and twelfth largest in Europe.

Children aged 7-17 can get involved with the Brighton marathon weekend and run a 1 mile course at Preston Park in these age-related races. Taking place a day before the Brighton marathon and BM 10k, so they can experience the fun and the atmosphere of the Brighton marathon weekend.
Children can also help fundraise for title sponsor cancer research UK kids and teen to raise money for research into cancers affecting children, teen, young adults.

There are a variety of charity’s including prostate cancer UK cancer research UK, Alzheimer’s society, wwf, make-a-wish, asthma UK. these are just a few picked.
